Katya Cherninov is the mother of Anya White, Katerina and Sonya and is one of the main drivers for Anya's arrival to Coxville County.
Description
Katya is described as looking more or less exactly as Anya, with the same raven colored hair and dark eyes, but with a much fuller bust than Anya and her sisters and visible aging such as crow's feet near her eyes and a few gray hairs around her temples.
History
Katya had married Alexei at some point probably in the 1970s-1980s but had become frustrated with the marraige.
Katya had been the one to convince Alexei to allow Anya to go to America and marry Tom despite her husband's insistence on Anya marrying a local Russian husband. Katya had used Sergei's letters in the past that described Inna's incident with Prospero Black to masturbate, half believing the story written within is an exaggeration.
Anya's Departure
At some point in early 2009, before seeing off Anya, Katya had given her the brown box containing Sergei's journal detailing the events of their journey and the Congo Square incident. As Katya was given the box to Anya, she constantly remined her to not let anyone who speaks Russian find out about it, once making it clear to Anya, she exchanged a few hugs and goodbyes as Anya had went to airport.
